Claymore's Most Epic Scene

I have a hard time remembering epic moments in animes, instead remembering the anime as a whole, but when I reflect back I found that some of the most epic scenes I remember are from Claymore.

The anime does a wonderful job of highlighting Clare and Teresa’s past, building up their relationship, and highlighting tension. It sets the characters up beautifully, showing what Teresa wants and desires, juxtaposing her with the Clare that we know.

We get fed all their hopes and dreams, and an overwhelming sense of faith in Teresa’s ability.

That’s why when we come to the end, when Teresa confronts Priscilla we are so shocked when she is suddenly gone, and it is why it has such an impact on us.

It’s a mark of how good the writing is, and how well they know to build a scene, that this can be considered so epic.
